Phil, a CPA, has been in the accounting and finance industry for 20 years. Phil worked at Deloite and Touche in the Buffalo area for 7 years where he was a Manager in the Audit Services Group servicing many different types of clients including banking, real estate, higher education and manufacturing.

Phil then joined Benderson Development Company, a large national real estate development company, as the Director of Internal Audit, where for five years he developed and led the internal audit department.

Most recently, Phil was the Vice President of Finance for Buffalo Lodging Associates, LLC. Phil oversaw significant growth of the organization's finance and accounting department as the company grew from 13 to 35 hotels during his tenure and was integral in financing and re-financing a large number of hotels in the portfolio. As a result of his interest in the operations, Phil developed an intimate knowledge of the hotel industry and used that knowledge to develop and lead a staff of 20 which included the accounting, purchasing and human resource functions of the company.
